Middleton Solutions can offer a number of training development courses tailored to the needs of our clients.
Microsoft Excel
Courses tailor written as required by the client. Efficient use of a limited number of functions / formulae can significantly reduce the amount of non value added time that is spent producing reports. Our Excel courses can be given on Excel 2003 or 2007 and cover “If” statements and lookup formulae,
pivot tables, charts, spreadsheet structure, data consolidate, data sorting, subtotals plus many more useful functions.
We can use clients own information to make the courses relevant to the business or use generic data. Courses can be provided at the clients own premises to minimise time away from the office or at a local facility where we can accommodate up to ten delegates and provide catering and hospitality to a very high standard.

Financial awareness course/Finance for non-finance professionals
This course is designed to explain finance and financial information is an easy to understand and practical way without the use of jargon. Ideally suited to operational and commercial managers who need a basic understanding of the financial world. The course focuses on working capital and explains the conversion chain from raw material stock entering the business to finished goods leaving the business and considers at each stage what impact the manager has to ensure the conversion cycle is a short as possible with minimum wastage.
The working capital cycle is explained in a practical way using an actual pot of cash to illustrate how cash can be lost from a business if each part of the cycle is not controlled effectively.
A number of performance measures are explained in the context of the client business.
Both of these courses can be tailor written to client needs or given as a standard course. The ultimate objective is that the skills learned are taken back into the business and are applied. Follow up consultancy can also be offered following completion of the course to ensure skills are integrated with existing practices.
